Fable: Next Chapters Part 8

"Agh! My head!" yelled Thunder.
Thunder went berserk and started to smash everything in his path.
"Thunder, whats wrong? Get a hold of yourself!" said Whisper.
Thunder stormed out of the Guild, and ran off. Everybody is in shock and for two reasons: One, why was Thunder like this? And two, who is going to clean up all the damage caused by Thunder? Soon, the Guildmaster and Tao return to the guild.
"What happened?" said Guildmaster.
"Thunder started complaining about his head hurting and then went berserk. Soon, he thrashed everything and stormd out. We need to get him back." explained Whisper.
"Wait, his head right?" asked Tao.
"Yes."
"It's too late, Zurax has started to corrupt him. The only way for him to be free is to be killed." said Tao.
"No, there has to be another way." Whisper shouts out.
"That's the reason why Zurax must be stopped." said Tao.
Whisper, horrified and in shock, walked to her room, and slammed the door.
"Dam, and Thunder was just healed. Wasn't the Helstos able to prevent or cure the corruption?" asked the Guildmaster.
"Like I said, Zurax has grown more powerful than we can imagine. The only way to defeat him is with this amulet, but we don't know how to use it." said Tao.
"The answer will come soon," said Theresa.
"How would you know?" asked Tao.

"I can see the future. I may be blind in present, but not in the future. All I can say is that it's not the best thing for you when you find out." replied Theresa.

"That's not the matter now. The matter now is that we need to kill this demon." said Tao.
"Ok, so he can corrupt and raise the dead. We need to shorten his supply of resource. Where would be his primary resource be?" asked the Guildmaster.
"The Lichfield Graveyard, perhaps." answered Scythe.
"Wait, that means he would have almost an unlimited source of corpses." said the Guildmaster.
"That can be a problem. You humans have such a short lifespan. We dragons can live for ages, or until we fall in battle," said Tao.
"Heh, I wish I had your kind of lifespan." the Guildmaster said.
"Hmm, so what is our plan for Zurax?" asked Tao.
"We need to storm the graveyard and find Zurax. Once we find Zurax, we will do what we can to defeat him." said the Guildmaster.
"Very well," said Tao.
"I'm going to check on Whisper." said the Guildmaster.
The Guildmaster knocked on the door and asked if he could come in. Whisper unlocks the door and the Guildmaster walks in. Whisper eyes were all teary and wet.
"Dam Skorm! Why did it have to be Thunder?" Whisper muttered.
"I know Thunder, he has his reasons." replied the Guildmaster.

"But why Thunder, why can't it be someone else?"
"Maybe it was because Thunder didn't want it to be someone else."
"What are you trying to say?"
"What if Thunder willingly wanted to be corrupted so you wouldn't be?"
"You mean he did this for me?"
"Most likely. I mean, he's a strong hero. And he would do anything for your safety."
Whisper punched the wall closest to her, making a hole.
"Why did he have to do it. I don't want to lose him again. He's the only family I have left. Dam Skorm!"
"I know how you feel. Believe it or not, my sister has done more for me than I can give back. Be happy that your brother raised you right and made sure you are safe."
"I don't want to lose him."
Whisper, still overwhelmed by the lost of her brother, ask the Guildmaster to leave, and to let her think it over. The Guildmaster without hesitation leaves Whisper's chambers, and instructed everyone to not disturb Whisper.
